Boxing- Is it worth the risk?
Boxing clearly isn't for everyone but, it shouldn't be for anyone. Nobody needs to risk their own lives for boxing. It is said that boxing is one of the most dangerous sports in the world. Now, I'm not saying this is the only dangerous sport but it is out of many, and it's not worth the danger it can cause towards anyone . People may disagree but everyone has their own opinion and that's okay but, boxing is not a sport, boxing is not fun, it's painful, tiring, sweaty, a killing machine, a waste of time and don't forget angry people fighting people just to win a match, to look good and tough! People should do something about it! Boxing should be banned. A number of doctors are behind the banning of the sport because the serious nature of the injuries that can be sustained during a match. Cuts and bruises are the most common injuries, which lead to stitches, and dental work being required. Body blows can lead to internal bleeding and broken ribs, but the most serious risk comes from the possibility of either catastrophic or gradual brain damage. Catastrophic brain damage comes from an injury sustained with a single blow or a number of blows, where blood vessels in the skull burst and a clot puts pressure on the brain tissue. Gradual brain damage occurs over time and is due to repeated blows to the head over along period of time.
